Diablo 3 Demon Hunter “Explosive Master” Build

Today we have another build from the guys over at www.diablo3hero.com and this one will give you a solid leveling build for the Demon Hunter.

Basically the way this build works is by using all of the explosive abilities of the Demon Hunter to make you super high damage dealing with a lot of speed.

You have Cluster Grenades that will start the explosive carnage and then to add to that if you follow up with Cluster Arrow and Rapid Fire you will knock down most enemies.

The build really gains strengths from the passive skills as they will boost all of your explosive abilities.
When you are using this build your main stats will be Weapon Damage, Armor, Vitality and Dexterity.
This build will work best as a leveling or boss build:

Here is the build:

How to : Make Elites drop Health Globes

Posted this in another topic and was surprised at how many ppl didn't know, it's pretty useful :

  • Blue monsters : 60% chance to drop at 50% and 0% life.
  • Yellow monster : 100% chance at 75%, 50%, 25% and 0% life.

A bit risky against blue, but sometimes I'm running away and see the yellow boss has like 76% hp and try to stun him and make him drop his globe to heal when I'm low. There's even marks every 25% on the life bars to make this easier.

Also, Health Globes dropped from blue and yellow monsters restore 35% of your life (+ boost on equipment) as opposed to 20% from globes dropped by normal monsters.

Normal monsters only drop them at death, and the odds depends on the monster (tends to be bigger on big/hard monsters eg. 5% on Corpse Worms, 20% on Dark Berserkers, 75% on Demonic Tremors).

Got this from the Diablo 3 hero guide.

LORE XP Trick

So i realized in some spots in the game there are Objects that give you Lore books those books give you a random amount of XP.

Well in some spots you can quickly get to this objects and use them about 10-20 times to get Lore books and XP

The one near khasim outpost/hidden camp right outside the path there is a satchel is where i figured this out

  1. Make a new game private is fine
  2. Go to the satchel open it up take your book
  3. Leave and make a new game do it again untill you cant get anymore lore

This works and is tested on every act so far, its just a quick way to get all the LORE and the XP that comes with it but some are more time consuming then others

Diablo 3 Wizard “Diablo Killer” Build

Today we have another build from the guys over at www.diablo3hero.com and this one was actually picked up from the forums with a claim that one of the first people to beat Diablo on Inferno mode was using a Wizard with this build.

Now this build is pretty strange and instead of using the usual skills in the correct slots you will need to mix it up a little.

That is cool though as this is not a usual build and you should use this on Diablo only.

Here is the build:

Diablo 3 Wizard “Diablo Killer” Build:

Here is a bit more info about how the build works:

For your primary skill you have Hydra and then the rune on top of this will give you a venom spitting Hydra as well.

You have Blizzard that will produce some cold damage and then the rune will cause this skill to last longer.
Slow time is a good one as this will indeed slow time but with the skill rune on it you will notice that your allies are sped up. This is actually mean to be used as a solo build.

Diamond Skin is a must have when taking on a boss of this magnitude and it will allow you to soak up damage and with the skill rune in place you will actually be able to absorb more damage.

Energy Armor and Force Armor is basically another defensive combo and you can swap between this one and Diamond Skin to stay alive.

Magic Weapon allows you to have some melee damage and boost magic effects. Then for your passives you have Glass cannon that will increase the damage you do and you also have the other passives to make most skills signature skills and lower the arcane cost of each.

If you are thinking of taking on Inferno give this build a try!

If you still need to level then head over to www.diablo3hero.com for a complete leveling guide and an entire catalogue of builds for all classes in D3!

Here is a brief comparison of the two primary stats for damage based life regeneration.  These  two stats that really looks intuitive, but when you do some testing, you find out that there is a big difference. Check it out:

Diablo 3 - Witch Doctor Act 4 Powerleveling (54-60)

Here is a quick Diablo 3 Witch Doctor guide that was mailed to us. I looks like a pretty solid strategy to power your Witch Doctor form level 54 to 60. There is a fast rundown below the video:

In Short:

  • Spirit walk sprint to Tyreal
  • Press Spacebar / CloseAllWindows key to skip dialogue with Tyreal
  • Summon Gargantuan and Enter portal to begin encounter ... skip cut scene with esc/space
  • Pop cooldown's (BigBadVoodoo+Rain, Fetish Army, Soul Harvest) save Spirit Walk
  • Begin spamming Zombie Bears to annihilate everything
  • Pop Spirit walk when boss arrives and focus fire on boss with Zombie Bears
  • Collect Loot, leave/remake.

Diablo 3 Wizard Lightning And Ice Leveling Build

In this post we have another leveling build from the guys over at www.diablo3hero.com and this time we are looking at the Wizard and leveling.

This build will actually take the Lightning and Ice skills from the Wizard and use them to best effect while giving you a good leveling build to use.

Firstly here is the build:

Diablo 3 Wizard Lightning And Ice Leveling Build

For your primary skill you have Shock Pulse which is a signature spell and will do 105% Weapon damage.
With Explosive Bolts in the skill rune slot this means that all enemies destroyed with the Shock Pulse will explode and do another 70% weapon damage to demons around them.

In secondary you have Ray Of Frost that will do 215% of weapon damage and also Numb will slow your enemies down.

For defensive you have Frost Nova that will freeze your enemies and you have shatter that means a frozen enemy has a 50% chance to release another Frost Nova.

For your Force skill you have Energy Twister and with the Wicked Wind skill rune in place you will deal 360% weapon damage and the skill rune will keep it spinning in one place.

For your Conjuration you have storm armor and this will help you protect yourself against ranged and melee attacks. You also have power of the storm that will reduce the arcane cost.

You also have Archon that will make your abilities more powerful and with the skill rune in place it will cause an explosion when you change that will do 450% weapon damage.

Then to save yourself the arcane cost of these skills you have some passive skills that will turn some of the more costly abilities into signature spells.

All in all an awesome build for mid-range destruction while leveling a Wizard.

oneweave Hauberk blocked monsters for some reason?

Check out this picture. Boneweave Hauberk blocked monsters.
I have tested a ton of stuff, but for some reason,  only this type of armor can blocked monsters not others.

There's a catch to this though. It Doesn't stop teleporters, and it doesn't stop projectiles. And since everything in Inferno can throw !@#$%^&* at you or teleport, doesn't help much.

Below is another cool screenshot of what this strange armor can do:

Level 1 - 60 on Hardcore in 12 hours

So you've started a new character that you want boosted to 60? Perhaps it's a hardcore character that you need help reaching Inferno with? Maybe you just don't want to deal with the faceroll modes of the game, and want to skip straight to Inferno. No worries, I'm here to help.

This guide will show you how to reach level 60 and Inferno without ever moving your character more than a few feet, or entering combat. We're going to be combining several exploits to make this happen. You can also head straight to Diablo if you choose to.

Requirements:
  • A friend at a high level (60 highly recommended) who has beaten Normal mode, and preferably Nightmare and Act II of Hell.
  • Access to 4 accounts total (1 being the boosted character).
  • Understanding of the following tricks:
Lets begin!

[Act I] - Kulle Farming, Bro (1 - 35)

  1. Have your level 60 friend start Act II - The Black Soulstone - Soulstone Chamber. Have him run in and kill Kulle.
  2. The 3 of you join his game. He then gets the Black Soulstone from the center of the arena.
  3. Everyone exits the game except for you. Have them all resume game.
  4. Turn in the quest. Leave game, join each of the other 3 games, and turn in the quest again 3 more times. [1]
  5. Rinse and Repeat to 35.

[Act II] - Advancing Difficulty

  1. Have your level 60 friend start Act IV - The Prime Evil - Pinnacle of Heaven. Have him run in and kill Diablo.
  2. Join the game. Banner to your friend. Finish the quest.
  3. You have unlocked Nightmare!

[Act III] - Kulle Farming, Bro cont'd. (35 - 55)

  1. Repeat [Act I] above, using the Nightmare version of Zoltun Kulle. If your friend has not unlocked Nightmare Kulle, continue with normal (not recommended).
  2. Rinse and Repeat to 55.

[Act IV] - Skipping Difficulty (55 - 60)

  1. Repeat [Act II] above, using the Nightmare version of Diablo, or, if he has not unlocked Diablo but can successfully kill him,
  2. Have your level 60 friend start Act IV - The Prime Evil - Pinnacle of Heaven on Normal. Have him leave the game, join a public game, leave the public game, then resume and get put into Nightmare Diablo. Have him run in and kill Diablo. [2]
  3. Join the game. Banner to your friend. Finish the quest.
  4. You have unlocked Hell!
  5. Repeat [Act I] with a higher version of Kulle for more XP until 60 is reached. Then unlock Inferno via the method above.
  6. Once level 60 and Inferno is unlocked, start Act IV - The Prime Evil - Pinnacle of Heaven on Normal. Leave the game, join a public game, leave the public game, then resume the game.
  7. You are now at Inferno Diablo. If you are on Hardcore, good luck and try not to make it obvious you cheated. Also be a Wizard if you've got a clue.

I have personally had great luck farming Normal Kulle to 40, Nightmare to 55, and Hell to 60. Just be sure your buddy is geared, especially in Hardcore.

A little bit about weapon damage some people don't know.

This is more or less complete copy paste from Reddit, but I thought it was so informative that I would share it with readers here at this blog. The original post is here, and was made by adalonus.

So I know this, some D2 players remember it, and I'm sure some D3 players have noticed, but getting a weapon with elemental damage on it may that may not be the best DPS, is sometimes more effective than that higher DPS weapon.

A few examples:

Cold damage gives you an innate slow effect and works great on DHs because they can kite a lot easier. The slow will be applied to any ability that isn't using some sort of other elemental attack (i.e. Cinder Arrow rune will change it to fire). That means, Piercing Arrow and Devouring Arrow will apply a slow. As a side note, Nether Tentacles will as well for a nice AoE Line slow, but Ball Lightning wont. Fantastic for kiting mobs.

Fire attacks have a chance of exploding an enemy on death and doing a small AoE.

Holy attacks work a lot like fire, except instead of damaging enemies, it nearby allies when it explodes and it heals enough to be a noticeable amount. Great on tanks as it is a free heal if you get it to proc.

Lightning damage has a higher chance to make an enemy flinch, which is great for interrupts.

It's just something I wanted to share and make sure people know. Maybe instead of grabbing that lightning enchanted weapon because it has a higher damage output, maybe grab that lower DPS cold bow for better survivability or the holy fist weapons on a monk to help counteract the recent healing nerf.

Guy dies from playing Diablo 3?

It turns out playing a game for 72 hours has adverse effects on your health...who knew?

Gameranx.com have the story of 32-Year Old Russell Shirley who was found dead in his home over the weekend by his landlord and coworker. He suffered a heart attack after a three-day binge on Diablo III.

Comment from the site that's worth reading:

"Russell was a good friend of over 15 years for me. He lived in my guest house. We played diablo 3 together.
Unfortunately the events portrayed are not entirely accurate and are being sensationalized. Russell struggled with health problems for some time and did not commit to a 3 day marathon session of Diablo 3. Many were excited over the release. The night before he was out with friends until 1am.
He will be missed. I hope this article either realized that they are printing inaccuracies are immortalizing him as "obsessive gamer dies from videogaming" or retracts some of these statements.

So the game might not be the killer, but still. Take a break from your gaming once in a while ok...

Diablo III sold 3.5 million copies on launch day, and 6.3 million during its first week

GameSpot.com just tweeted about an upcoming story regarding the sales numbers on Diablo III. According to Eurogamer.  that number does not include the  1.2 million pre-orders from WoW annual passes. With or without the 1.2 mill pre orders, Diablo III is the fastest-selling PC game ever, and the biggest PC game launch in history.

Now Who Said PC Gaming was dead :)

Resplendant Chest farming Act 2-3

Select this quest :

Enter this cellar (Not always there but a 75% chance ish :

There will always be a resplendant chest when this cellar is there.

Happy farming !

Edit: Aparently it only works on EU servers. Here is a video:

Diablo 3 potentially has an ARG (alternate reality game) contained in it! Starting at Whimsyshire!

Whimsyshire. We all know about it. Blizzard's secret level.
Now, this is where it gets interesting. The music for this level is odd. Very odd:

If you listen to it, the music sounds a lot like a song in reverse, right? Right. Reversing the music, you get this:

This is where things start to get exciting. This reversing of Whimsyshire's music results in a tune very similar to Ravel - Gaspard de la Nuit. Link:

So what does this mean? Blizzard made a reference to a song in the game. That should be the end of that, right? Wrong!

From Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaspard_de_la_nuit) "Gaspard de la nuit is an old French expression for the Devil"

Moreover, the piano piece (the Whimsyshire theme played backwards) has 3 movements, each based on a poem by Aloysius Bertrand.

The poems which the piece is based off are entitled: Scarbo, Ondine, Le Gebit.

Scarbo english translation: http://english.agonia.net/index.php/poetry/164745/Scarbo
Ondine english translation: http://shadowlight9.blogspot.com/2011/04/french-poetry-iii-aloysius-bertrand.html
Le Gebit english translation: http://shadowlight9.blogspot.com/2011/04/french-poetry-iv-aloysius-bertrand-le.html

Here are all 3 of the songs
Ondine: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-LDHH8FDi0
Le Gibet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rrHkclI98lw
Scarbo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BmOYFjZxhBA

I decided to tackle "Ondine" first. I was going to use the poems to figure out if there was more hidden things in the game, that could only be found through the use of the poems. The first few stanzas stood out to me.

Specifically, "lit by the gloomy rays of the moon. / And here, in a gown of watered silk, / gazing from my chateau (large french castle) terrace, / I contemplate the beautiful starry night / and the restless sleeping lake" Things just got interesting. A " Restless Beautiful sleeping lake", that is a paradox right? Or is it talking about a river?

This image was posted awhile back:

Here is a Clearer image:

You can make out a moon, a soldier who is armed with a shield and something unintelligible. I think that is the gibbet referred to in the poem. It's very gloomy, and reflects off of a "restless sleeping lake". What is there to reflect? Nothing.

This is as far as I have gotten on the treasure trail. I plan on continuing tomorrow by analyzing the other two poems. This is very interesting!

Half price for potions!

NPC: Rodger The Alchemist

Quest: Act1- Trailing the Coven, Begin Quest.

Location- After the bridge, before you go down to the hermit. He gives a quest to give a concoction to the hermit, so if he's in there, by going down to the hermit you can't miss him. If he's not, leave the game and resume until he is.

Reason for interest: Sells potions and dyes for half price.

I have only tried him in Inferno and he has the 12.5k potion and dyes that cost 5k+ on other vendors.

I could see this used for money. Buy potions, mark up 10%, sell on trade chat.

Diablo 3 Monk Leveling Build For DPS Leveling

In this post we are going to cover another build from the guys over at www.diablo3hero.com and this one is for the Monk and will help you out if you are having trouble taking on the mobs and hordes of hell.

This actual build will make best use of the skills of the Monk which are Critical chance, Dodge, Armor, Vitality and Dexterity.

You will have your primary attack which is Crippling Kick and you should use this to soften up most of the mobs that you face. If you need a bit of extra stopping power you have the Lashing Tail Kick which will also knockback your foes.

Also you have Mantra of Conviction and this is good as you will be rewarded for fighting in the middle of the pack and you also have the Seven Sided Strike as well that works well against numbers. If you get into trouble you should use Serenity and that will protect you as well as reflect some of the damage back to the hordes of evil!

If you want to go all out you have Sweeping Wind and this will allow you to kill even the toughest foes creating lightning tornados when you score critical hits and you will do with so many AoE abilities!

You also have the passive skills which will boost your attack and defence equally!

Here is the build:

Diablo 3 Monk Leveling Build:

For a complete guide to leveling as well as in depth class information and builds for PVP and leveling check out www.diablo3hero.com ( Try it out, they have a 60 day full refund!)

Monk Quickening Tip

Here is a new small trick courtesy of Diablo 3 Hero ( Try it out, they have a 60 day full refund!). There is a small Quickening trick you can use for Monks in Diablo 3 at the moment.  If you use the quickening rune for Fists of Thunder, it  currently gives 15 spirit on EVERY critical hit you make, instead of just FOT crits.

The trick now is, that by using it with Sweeping Wind or Exploding Palm, it gives you a huge amount of spirit. Try using it  with 4 or more mobs, and you can constantly stay on max spirit and spam other spells as well.

With builds like THIS,  you can constantly spam Cyclone Strike and Mantra of Healing and never go out of spirit while getting all of your health back trough Transcendence.

I don't think this is a bug (other classes have similar talents with similar effect), but I don't think monk is viable in inferno without doing this. I found it when I was in A4 hell and thought it was the most OP thing ever, now it just feels required.

Diablo 3 Selling gold for money Guide

The most common way to make money from Diablo 3 will be to gather gold and then cash out by selling the gold on the real money auction house. In this chapter, I would like to go over the ins and outs of trading gold for real money, as well as discuss tips for maximizing your profits.

This chapter will be very newbie friendly as well as go into detail about how pro players can turn their gold into cash for far more than what the average player does.

Let’s get started!
To sell gold, it is recommended that you also keep track of the price of gold throughout the week. You need to learn when it goes up, when it goes down, and when you want to jump into the market for maximum profit. The price of gold will fluctuate wildly, so it’s important that you try your best to get a rough understanding of when the swings occur.

Tracking the price of gold will take you literally 30 seconds. Here’s how you do it.

Search on the RMAH for gold in stacks of 1x1000, 10x1000, 100x1000, and 1000x1000. Write down in a spreadsheet or even on paper what the price was for each of those search queries. This will give you an idea of how the market looks right now. The most important number is the 1000x1000. That’s a pretty good indication of the average value of gold across the board. If you were to list right now, it’s probably a good estimate of what you could sell your gold for. Before selling any gold, I recommend one full week of recording prices.

Once you have a nice collection of data you can begin selling gold with a little more confidence. Once again, when you want to sell, record the price of several stacks of gold. Depending on how “busy” a time of day it is will determine if you go by the 10x1000 or 1000x1000 price. If it’s prime time, then go by the 1000x1000 price. If it’s the morning and few are on, go by the 10x1000 price.

To list your gold, you need to understand the rules behind selling it. In order to successfully list an auction of any amount of gold, the total price of your stack must be equal to or greater than $1.00. Here are some examples:

  • 4x1000 gold must sell for 25 cents or more per thousand.
  • 10x1000 gold can sell for 10 cents or more per thousand.
  • 1000 gold has to be $1.00 or higher.
  • 100,000 gold could sell for as low as 1 cent per thousand.

How much gold should you sell at a time? As much as you want! But do yourself a favor and sell it all in one auction. If a portion of your gold sells but not all of it, then you will get a refund on the gold that didn’t sell. So there’s no reason why you wouldn’t want to sell ALL of the gold you have set aside to be used for this purpose. Otherwise you’re just wasting auction space. Unless of course you use the following method...

A clever and optional strategy for selling gold is to split up your gold into an series of equally sized auctions. Let’s say you have 100,000 gold and you place your auctions up in 10,000 gold auctions. Next, you would price them ascending from the minimum amount you want to sell for to a much higher amount. Let’s say the price of gold is $2.50. You could sell a stack starting at $2.00, then increase it by 10 cents all the way up to $3.00. You are basically diversifying your gold and giving yourself a better chance of selling it than just placing the whole lot up for $2.75.

For each of your auctions, don’t forget to choose the option to send your earnings to paypal instead of your blizzard balance. You will have to do this for every single auction you create.

Selling gold is NOT the only way to make money in Diablo 3. You can potentially make far more cash selling weapons and armor. Why? Because the fee structure is different. While gold has a 15% fee for successful auctions, weapons and armor have a $1.00 fee.

Once you go beyond $8.50, weapons and armor become a massive earner as compared to selling gold. With a $8.50 listing, you send $7.50 to your paypal (minus additional 15% paypal fees). As compared to gold, $8.50 worth of gold would cost you $1.28 in fees, and it only gets worse after that. A $15 item costs you $1.00 in fees, while $15 in gold would cost you $2.25 in fees. See how much of a difference this can be?

So a very simple strategy is to buy items from the gold auction house and sell them for lots of money on the RMAH. The more valuable the item, the more money you’ll save on fees that you would have paid just selling the gold equivalent.

The downside to selling weapons/armor instead of gold is that sometimes it takes a little longer. I would recommend being patient and going for the higher payouts if you want to make the most money. If you are reinvesting your earnings back into Diablo 3's economy, then I would recommend using the blizzard balance and diversifying what you sell to include items, crafting materials, and gold.

How to triple your experience from Diablo 3 Quests

Here is a small trick courtesy of Diablo 3 Hero ( Try it out, they have a 60 day full refund!). This trick is easy, but requires that you can get a friend to help you - you only need one.

Here is a run down of the triple EXP Method:

  1. Kill a boss for a quest ((Say azmodan NM for 88k exp))
  2. Leave the game w/o turning in quest. ((Your friend stays in game.))
  3. Make your own game using resume game, turn in the quest.
  4. Return to your old game. Your friend now leaves the old game & makes a new game.
  5. Turn in quest a second time in your old game. ((The one he was babysitting))
  6. Join your friends new game, and turn it in for one final time.

In this method, you turn in the quest 3 times from a single kill. ---- Though your friend only gets 1 turn in

Round Robin Method ((Both you and your friend get 2 turnins)) :

  • Steps 1-4 are all the same.
  • 5. Wait in the old game while your friend turns his quest in, in his private game.
  • 6. Your friend returns to your game that you were babysitting, and you both turn the quest in for your second time.

Triple exp = great to power lvl friends if you're lvl 60 already.
Round Robin = Good for you and a buddy if you're both leveling.

Diablo 3 farming spot: Cathedral Gardens [Act 1] - Insane drop rates.

Here is a small trick courtesy of Diablo 3 Hero ( Try it out, they have a 60 day full refund!).

This spot is in act one, right after the place were  Deckard Cain opens the secret passage out of Leoric's Passage. (Act 1, Part 2 of the Legacy of  quest Cain).

Here is a run down of what you have to do:
  1. As soon as you get out of the passage you are in the Cathedral Gardens, There is a Chest "just" to the northwest of you. (It is NOT always there.)
  2. Regardless of whether the chest was there, grab the waypoint and go to Tristram.
  3. DO NOT TALK TO LEAH.
  4. Log out.
  5. Log in.
  6. You will span in Leoric's passage, Exit through the secret passage, into the garden.
  7. Check for chest. (If it's there LOOT. If not proceed to step 8.)
  8. Use the waypoint to go back to Tristram.
  9. Log out.
  10. Log in.
  11. Rinse/Repeat.
I always go back to town so that I can make sure the logout is instant.

So far it takes less than 30 seconds to do the whole thing. I have been getting 1 - 3 blues per go + Potions/Gems. I also just got 2 Yellows!

OMG Epic Bonus.
Sometimes there is a chance that the chest spawns to the southeast, around the corner of the building.

I just went back in, and there is a chance that a ELITE (Purple) monster will spawn (Caretaker McCree) .. WOOT! .. (He spawns JUST to the north of the chest. He is NOT there until you get close, and then comes jumping out of the ground.)

Okay, I also just had the caretaker spawn, and the chest was not there. So make sure to look around.

There is also a few stumps, and a corpse to loot as well.

This place just became a sick farming spot.

Diablo trick: Go Inferno act 4 instant

Here is a pretty neat little trick. For this this to work, you have to be level 60 and have killed Diablo in hell.

Now open a game in normal mode and go to  act 4 quest 1.

Kill the first boss and run up to the first checkpoint (save point).

Leave the game and try to join an "open game".

Scroll down and you´ll see that you can select act 4 quest 1 on inferno!

Try to join it, the tool wont find a game because nobody is there until now. So the game will open itself and you are the leader.

Enjoy :)

3000% Profit in less than 2 minutes

Here is a short video showing some tips and tricks to make some money on the auction house. Basically he shows us how to turn 100g in to 3000g in less than 2 minutes using a commodity strategy on the Diablo 3 Gold Auction House.

Everyone knows you should buy low and sell high, but you might not be aware of the ENORMOUS opportunity for profits by taking advantage of the instantaneously updating auction house, and people that don't know how to use it.

Diablo 3 Barbarian Tanking Build

Hey guys,

Today we have a Barbarian Tanking build that you can use for leveling on Diablo 3.
The build is a tanking build and has been provided by the guys over at www.diablo3hero.com ( Try it out, they have a 60 day full refund!) so this build will help you take an insane amount of damage and still be standing afterwards!

A few notes about this build and why it works so well with the passive skills are Pound of Flesh which increases the chance of finding a healing globe and then when you do it actually heals you for more health.
You will also have Inspiring Presence that increases the duration of your shouts and this can help give you a health boost with this build and also works very well in a group.

Lastly the Superstition skill is awesome if you are caught in the middle of long ranged spell casters and will drop some of the damage you take from magic that will allow you to close the distance down.

The main pros of this build is the more you get hit and you will be able to take a lot of shots, the more your rage will go up and also your health should remain steady. This means that you can focus on getting rid of the squishy mobs and then when you are fighting a boss you will be on the front line.

Here is the build for you:

Super Experience - Best with a group of 4!

This trick works the same way as the trick we posted yesterday, but this time as a larger group. Once again we are back in Act 3  killing Azmodan on  Nightmare mode. This works on Normal as well, but you get less exp. Here is the run down:
  • Group up with a party of at least 2 people.
  • Lets say you use 4, lets call them P1, P2, P3 and P4.
  • Kill Azmodan, but do NOT complete the quest.
  • P1 is getting boosted first.
  • P2 P3 P4 all leave the game, and create a new game through RESUME GAME.
  • P1 completes both quests leading up to act 4.
  • P1 Leaves his game, and joins P2.
  • P1 and P2 complete both quest leading up to act 4.
  • P1 and P2 join P3 in his game.
  • P1, P2 and P3 repeat the same step...
  • P1 P2 P3 join P4 repeat...
  • Rotate players
Repeat.

This gives up to 360k xp for player 1, 270k for player 2, 180k for player3 and the original 90k for player 1. Rotate this and see the exp explode.

This trick is perfect for boosting  your toons that's not already level 60.

Act 3-4 Fast Items and Leveling.

This is 50% my own discoveries and 50% compilation of other people's "guides".

The fastest way I've found to level so far, while getting decent items/gold is to do this loop on Normal till you can breeze through NM, and then do it again on NM till you cna breeze through Hell.

  • Start at Act III, 7. Kill Azmodan.
  • Run by all the monsters unless you encounter elite mobs.
  • Nuke down Azmodan, then immediately bypass the cutscene with space or escape.
  • Grab his soul and your loot, then teleport back to the stronghold.talk to the guard spamming though his dialogue with space or esc then run to the armory, then the watchtower.
  • Skip through the cut scene, then run through the portal.
  • Run up to Tyrael, spam through his dialogue then run through the portal, spam through dialogue and kill Iskatu.

Rince and repeat.

This will net you a healthy amount of XP, gold, items, and is higher XP/h than just Azmodan or Isatu runs.

Diablo 3 Not-So-Cow Level

This is why blizzard is amazing. They are trolling all of the people nerd raging over ERMAGAHD DA GAME NOT DARK ENUFF OMGZ!!! I love that they delivered a dark and serious game but still add some levity and trolling, even more so because all the overly morose, take themselves too seriously die hards are raging about it.

Side note: There is no 'king' and the items you need to get there aren't wasted. In other words it's repeatable at no cost.

Here is how to get there:
First you need the scematic which is a pretty common drop off Izual in act 4. Then you need 5 items: Wirt's Bell: Buy off the little girl at the bazaar in act2 for 100k Black Mushroom: First lvl of the cathedral in act 1. Leoric's Shinbone: At the firstplace in Leoric's Mansion. Liquid Rainbow: act 2 oasis, there is a random event in the south that spawns an alchemist. If you help him he will reveal a mystery cave, its in the mystery chest. Gibbering Gemstone: act 3 in the field of siege engines there is a cave, sometimes you find a rare boss named Chiltara that drops it on lvl2 of that cave. If you have all this you need 50k to craft it, then take the staff to Old Tristram and walk back to the town. You will see the cowking here:

TL:DR:

  • Black Mushroom - Act 1 - Next to Adrias House
  • Leroic's Shinbone - Act 1 - In Leorics Mansion Fireplace "Random Spawn"
  • Liquid Rainbow - Act 2 - Dahlgur Oasis, find Zaven the Alchemist and enter the Mysterious Cave, then find the Mysterious Chest.
  • Gibbering Gemstone - Act 3 - In Caverns of Frost, dropped by Chiltara. "Random Spawn"
  • Wirt's Bell - Act 2 - Bought from the Little Girl in the City cost's 100k

If you have the staff in your inventory you can do this like any other bonus area. The staff doesn't go away.

Unlimited items - Road to Alcarnus

When you get to the road to alcarnus in act 2, pick up the waypoint. Before making it to the bridge, a purple boss will spawn. Kite him away from the bridge and kill him.

Once you have killed him, leave the game, then go back into it. Teleport to the alcarnus waypoint and repeat. Each kill takes about 20 seconds.

There is also about a 50% chance for this area to spawn a treasure goblin.
There are NUMEROUS things to open. Including chests, bodies, rocks, etc. There are also a few other purple and yellow creatures that have a chance to spawn in this area. Each time you load in, you will get something valuable.

15 minute gold strategy

It's generally accepted that making money in Diablo 3 is a time consuming and tiresome chore. This could not be further from the truth. With literally 15 minutes per day you can bring in a sizeable amount of gold and yes even real money in Diablo 3.

This isn't a chore, but rather an exciting and easy to follow procedure that anybody can do. Yes, even the lead designer's grandmother who everyone has heard so much about...

In this chapter I will explain how you can invest 15 minutes a day and still create a large amount of wealth for yourself. No crafting is involved and this is a great way for you to make money if you don't have a max level character yet.

At the end of the chapter, I will include additional methods besides this main one that can be used if you have extra time but don't want to run around mindlessly farming the minions of hell.

Alright, let's get started. You can use this strategy on either auction house, but I recommend the gold auction house for the best deals.

Before I go into all the juicy details, let's discuss the purpose of this method and why it works.

The goal here is to get you money, really easy and practically guaranteed gold. We're going to take advantage of players who don't know how to price their items properly as well as offer great deals to buyers. To do these two things, we're going to make use of max bidding.

I will explain how to find items worth bidding on in a moment, but first, here's what you will do once you find good candidates:

  • Step 1: Bid on the item(s) at or below 50% value. Set Max Bid to 50% of the item's value.
  • Step 2: Take your auctions that you won and sell them at 75% and up of their normal value.

Seems really easy right? Well it is almost as easy as it sounds.

If you don't know what a max bid is, here's a quick explanation.

A max bid means that you will continue to outbid anyone up to your max bid. So my initial bid on the warden bow is 3,000 gold, and if someone bids 3,500 then I'm going to outbid them automatically since that is lower than my max bid of 4,000.

When you bid DOES matter. I would highly advise bidding on auctions that are well below 24 hours. Why tie up your money for long periods of time?

The two most popular and sought after affixes are magic find and gold find. Coupled with a high primary stat (dexterity, strength, or intellect) creates a killer item.

Open up the auction house and create a search query similar to this one below.

You'll find a host of items, many of which will probably be extremely expensive. However, you should be able to find quite a few that have very low bids (in comparison to final price) and huge profit potential.

You should aim for items with bids less than 50% of their buyout value and less than 8 hours remaining.

Systematically create searches for each of the core stats + magic find/gold find. If more than 45 pages of items appear, then you need to reduce your search results as only 46 pages of auctions can appear at any one time. If this happens, simply choose an armor type, create level restrictions, or add values for gold/magic/primary stat.

This should take no longer than 15 minutes, and before long you'll have quite a few bids on valuable items.

If you are having trouble finding deals, try sorting by "Buy Out" in ascending order. This way you will see all "N/A" buyouts and other players cannot win the item unless they outbid you. A lack of a buyout option is a big no-no when you're selling because it signifigantly reduces the number of people willing to purchase the item. Nothing wrong with taking advantage of someone else's mistake in this case! If you'd like to remove "N/A" auctions, just type 9999999999 into the max buyout at the bottom of the criteria pane.

To win more bids, I highly suggest logging on just before the servers go down for maintenance. During this time period, auctions continue to "roll" so you can still win bids on auctions that end during the maintenance.

Remember NOT to use all of your money bidding on items. Start off small and only use up 50% of your gold MAX. It's just not wise to invest all of your gold in items, even great deals. Why? Because you end up tieing up more gold that you bring in and constantly being broke, despite the fact that your shared stash is probably filled to the brim with awesome items.

Now, let's discuss how to price your auctions. There are two strategies.

1. Price at 75%
You just got a great item for 50% or less value, hopefully much closer to 10%. You probably want to run to the auction house and sell it at 150% its normal value. No, no, no. The whole point of this strategy is to get your money back into your pocket so that you can invest in more items! Price to sell quickly as you are still making tremendous profit, even with ah fees.

2. Sell in Trade Chat
Write something like "Just found Item X and looking to level blacksmith. Please make an offer." Players are going to come at you with really low ball offers, but they have no idea how low you just got the item for! Whatever they offer, ask them to go up around 15%-30%. They will in most cases take the bait, believing that they just robbed you blind.

This method of bidding low and selling for a deal is incredibly effective and easy to follow. Remember to keep a cool head though and not tie up too much of your money in bids and inventory. I try to keep 50% of my money as gold to avoid this issue.

Besides this method, you can also try to get some easy money by going to Diablo 3's vendors.
First, go to every vendor in a single act of the game.

Next, look up the items they have for sale on D3DB.COM Each item will have a set number of magic properties. Click on the item and the affixes tab that appears further down the page. You will see the maximum range for these affixes.

Take a screenshot of this page and save for each item.

(I will create an excel spreadsheet of the stats and what to look for once the game is live)
Next, keep reseting the game and checking the vendors until you find perfect versions of the items. Buy a few and then go to the auction house.

Price your auction lower than the next guy, as long as the value is more than 15% above the vendor cost (have to take into account fees!). In most cases, you will be able to double your investment as a minimum.

Well what do I bid on?
Thought you'd never ask! Here are some examples of what you can bid on for the purpose of flipping.

Gem Sockets
You can bid on socketed weapons/gear, then fill out the sockets to make money. A socket is the only way to get more of a stat than the item is capable of having normally. For example, you could take a ring with +150 vitality and an empty socket, then go add another 30 vitality to it. Anyone who searches for that ring with vitality as their primarily goal will see you showing up first. Same idea applies to weapons. You can take a weapon with relatively high dps and fill its socket with a red gem to boost the dps further. When people search for weapons by dps they will see yours towards the top thanks to your gem. While you are in game you can see the dps of the weapon after the gem is added, and you will be ranked with that stat on the auction house eventhough it displays the old number there.

Specific Armor
Searching for armor with very specific stat requirements, such as "+X Magic Find", "+X Intellect", "+X Vitality" will enable you to find the best gear at the best price. Just remember to search with specific criteria and try different combinations of stats and item categories.

Level 51+ Weapons
After level 50, weapons start scaling incredibly fast. This is because Hell difficulty is meant to be played from level 50 to 60, unlike the other difficulties which have around 25 levels for each of them. Look to bid on and sell weapons from 51 to 60 because that's when players are struggling the most and going to the auction house for weapon upgrades.

Jondar Glitch

In Act 1, Right after joining the Templar, you will get to Jondar. Right as the Jondar fight begins, teleport to town and wait about 2 minutes. when you port back in - Jondar will have summoned ~50 skeletons that drop gold and such.

Note that this can only be done once per game.

Making Gold at Any Level in Diablo 3

Here is a short guide on how to make gold in Diablo 3. If you are looking for a professional guide, I recommend you check out Diablo 3 Hero. You have to pay for ir, but they got a 60 days money back guarantee if your not 100% satisfied.

Any Level Strategy #1: Flipping Commodities ( Jump to strategy #2 if you are in a territory were this isn't possible)

The best part about flipping comodities is that you can cancel your auctions at any time. There's nothing like the terrible feeling of knowing you have 10 locked auctions because you're only selling gear at the moment.

This strategy works best for gems, but simiarly well for blacksmithing/jewelcrafting pages and subtle essences. I'll go over how each strategy is a little different for each, as well as how you can adapt this method for any high traded market.

Flipping Gems
Before anything else, understand the value of gems. Gems have a very simple pecking order: Ruby -> Topaz -> Emerald -> Amestyst. I expect that order to change, with Amestyst moving to the front of the pack later on when inferno is the current tier of gameplay. You could take a chance and buy those like crazy now for cheap, but that's up to you crazy speculators!

Next you need to decide which level gem you want to flip. Do not, repeat do not, try to buy 3 of a gem and then combine it with your jewelcrafter in the hopes of making a profit. Right now, each tier of gems is worth about 2.5x the previous tier. It's completely not worth your time to try forcing that strategy. Instead, look to flip within the same level of gems. To start off, let's take a look at chipped rubies, probably the highest traded gem in the game right now.

Take a look at 100x chipped rubies. Note the price and multiply it by 0.85. That is what you would have left over if you sold chipped rubies at that price after the auction house cut. Now take the original 100x price and multiply by 0.50. That's the number you want to shoot for, and your profit will be equal to the first price minus the second. Now, choose 1x chipped rubies for search and read the price. If it's at or below the 50% value you determined earlier, then buyout, confirm buyout and then... (this is important)... click buyout again. Keep doing that until you get a bid failed error. This is a bug right now, but your owed gold for the failed bid will not show up in your shared stash until you close and reopen the auction house (then open completed tab). Just remember to do that when you want the gold back.

For chipped rubies, I would recommend buying maybe 5x or even 10x in order to increase the value of your efforts. But as you're just starting out, the 1x search is best. You'll notice it's pretty hard to win the bet every time, and that's when you should move to larger quantities.

Now, what about selling your winnings? Just price them at the value you saw for 100x. If you pick up more rubies or they haven't sold in an hour of play, then cancel your auction and relist. You may find that several (but not all) sold and the game will compensate you appropriately.

Keep tryin new gem types and levels to find more profitable options!

Flipping Subtle Essences
These move FAST, so you'll want to search by 100x or greater. Otherwise you'll end up chasing and getting bid failed errors every time if you search for 1x or even 20x. Note the price of 10,000x subtle essences, calculate the price needed to make a profit, and then go to town searching at 100x looking for deals. Flipping Blacksmithing Pages and Jewelcrafting Pages

The blacksmithing ones trade faster and are worth more, so I stuck to those mostly in my own efforts. I tried jewelcrafting pages and they work; they just aren't worth as much for your time. Search for 100x (you can't search higher and this sucks!!!) at first to get a feel for the market. This isn't a very good read, since people buy these dozens at at time, so you'll want to rely on an understanding of the market over a longer period of time.

Any Level Strategy #2: Selling Amulets and Rings
You can go to merchants throughout act I and act II to buy very cheap rings/amulets that are best in slot (magic, not rare) for characters leveling through those acts. If you price them at values new players can afford, then you will easily flip them for 2-3x the investment. I would advise grabbing the ones with wounding and another core stat like intellect, dexterity, or strength. The damage increase is huge for low level characters and a real reason to buy the rings/amulets. Experience is also another great stat combined with the +damage. Look to buy these for less than 3k and then flip them for as much as 6k depending on competition.

Biggest Lesson: Learn to search appropriately. We all know how to search for an item on the ah and compare prices, or do we? You should get ultra specific with your first search, particularly with regards to item level, affix type, and affix amounts. Get a super close look at similar items (and if there are any at all) first to determine if you can even sell your item against the competition. Then price below everyone else and be done with it.

You also need to learn what players can afford. A new character isn't going to drop more than 6,000 gold on a ring. They just can't afford it! You can wear the rings at level 6, and by then the person can hopefully afford one of these and then buy another by level 8 or 9. Amulets can go for a little more, maybe 9k max. Check the competition and don't go higher than the numbers I'm giving you. That was for normal mode, nightmare is a little different (and it's much harder to get perfect rings/amulets from the vendors). I would suggest going 5x the vendor price, as a minimum.

Speaking of gear prices, normal mode rares tend to sell fast at 3,000 to 8,000 gold. Once again, it's a matter of what leveling characters can realistically afford. For nightmare, I'm finding 10,000 to 20,000 is also a pretty fast sale. But how do you know where your item falls in terms of value? Synergy. Do your stats make sense? Will hunters really want that strength bow? Will wizards want that dexterity staff? If you check d3db.com, are you towards or at the top for one or more stats? If you can roll an item with one max stat then you know that you can price pretty high. If it's lower then you need to give the player a deal to gaurantee a sale. Just remember what they can afford!

For the reason that the game is new and players don't have a lot of gold, avoid selling legendaries for the moment.

Don't forget to apply the things you just learned for higher level rings, such as nightmare, hell, and even inferno.

Best stats to sell for inferno difficulty

Act 3 (and 4) Vendor

Ring

  • 71 dex, str, int
  • 15% attack speed

Amulet

  • 13% attack speed
  • 100 dex, str, int

Any Level Strategy #3: Selling Weapons
The key to selling weapons is putting a gem in them. I have been looking at each level and buying cheap weapons that have high dps, then place a great gem in them. The gem brings the already high dps even higher and suddenly you have a weapon that will show up on people's "recommended" lists for their characters.
Ok so my strategy with selling weapons is now this:

Step 1: Search for Weapons of a certain type (2h Axe for example) and then pick a level that has those items above level 50. Don't go 50-60, but rather, use an exact level like 50, 51, 52, etc. Why the 50's? Because these are the easiest flips in the world with how much dps increases for players from level 50 to 60. They constantly have to find new weapons or else they will hit walls throughout hell and into early inferno.

Step 2: Sort the listing by dps so that the highest dps is at the top. Look at the values and note whatever the higher numbers are. Remember to factor in gems if a weapon has them, as the dps will display incorrectly on the auction house tab (but they will rank properly regardless). Take note of the first page and what constitutes top end dps at the moment.

Step 3: Add "Has Sockets" to your search criteria. Now sort again by dps and take a look at the weapons that pop up. You're looking for something with relatively high dps (not necessarily as high as the others, but close enough that an added red gem would push it up there). If you find a weapon that is close to top end dps, fairly cheap, and has an empty socket, then you have a winner!

Step 4: Take the purchased weapon and add at least a flawless square damage red gem. When you add the gem, pay attention to the weapon's dps in game as it will appear correctly (not so in the auction house). You can then use this information to compare to any non-gemmed weapons on the first page of search results.

Step 5: Search the weapon listing without "Has Sockets" and figure out where your weapon should go amongst the top dps items. Give a healthy discount, aiming for 75% or less than what the item really should
sell for. This will give you a fast flip.

Here are some examples of weapons I flipped in about a day using this strategy. I only spent 10 minutes finding these and made quite a bit from the process.

The goal is to show up on people's "recommended" lists with a high dps weapon and at a great price!"

Guide to Selling Socketed Weapons

When flipping weapons you want your item to show up on the first page so you have a bigger audience to sell to. Not just the first page with modifiers like +str/dex/int, the first page of an unmodified search.

Lets take a look at this pic. I did a search for Wizard / 2h weapons / all 2h weapons / top level of 53. Super broad search right?

What I see here is a bunch of 2h crossbows with prices ranging from 40k to 600k. I also see that the top dps is 350.5 and the bottom dps is 333.7. But wait. How is there a 327.0 dps weapon in the middle there?
What is happening is that on the AH the modified dps counts towards your spot on the page, but it isn't shown on the page.

Gems that are socketed in the weapon will raise the dps on the weapon without showing on the AH search page.

So how do you find the true dps of the weapons in the AH? Simple, use a tool I found online that some guy from armada gaming has built and put up for anyone to use. It calculates how much dps a weapon will give your character.

Go open this site in a new tab or window now. LINK.

We will not be using the whole thing because we only care about the weapon dps not how it will effect your character. If you want to use the full calculator for your character, watch this video he made explaining both how to use it and the math going on behind the scenes.  For our purposes, just skip the video I'll tell ya what to do

Ok so lets look at the dps calculator page. There are only 5 sections we care about on this page.

1. Primary weapon type – type of weapon.
Some weapon choices are giving the wrong attack speed modifier. Make sure you choose a weapon that gives you the right speed even if it is the wrong weapon. For example if you are testing a 2h Axe you need to use the Mighty Weapon choice since 2h Axes have the wrong speed attached to them.
3. Primary decimal ias – any additional attacks stated on the weapon.
4. Primary damage range – damage range stated on the weapon.
5. Primary ias bonus – additional attack speed stated on the weapon.
6. Damage range bonuses – damage range added from the gem you socket.

Now lets look at the highest dps on the front page.

Voracious Eagle shows a dps of 350.5 with a socket that is not filled and a 12% improved attack speed. Lets put in our stats in the calculator:

  • Primary weapon type – crossbow.
  • Primary decimal ias – none on the weapon so leave it blank.
  • Primary damage range – 224 to 345.
  • Primary ias bonus – 12.
  • Damage range bonuses – no gem socketed so leave it blank.

Hit the calculate weapon's damage range button and we get 350.5 with 1.23 attacks per second.
If we do the same thing for the lowest item on the page we will see the least amount of dps we need to get on the front page.

Notice that there is no gem or even a socket on the Shadow Eagle so we know that 333.7 is the correct dps.

We have found our range of dps to land on the front page is between 333.7 and 350.5.

Now lets look at that pesky Barren Eagle, with its 327 dps in the middle of the page.

See, now it has a square ruby socketed in it for an extra 13 to 26 damage. Lets see its true dps.

  • Primary weapon type – crossbow.
  • Primary decimal ias – none on the weapon so leave it blank.
  • Primary damage range – 253 to 341.
  • Primary ias bonus – none so leave it blank.
  • Damage range bonuses – 13 to 26.

Hit the calculate weapon's damage range button and we get 348.2 (rounded) with 1.10 attacks per second. Now it makes sense that it lands on the front page when normally it would be on page 2.

So lets find a good deal that could have been on the front page if only the original owner would have spruced it up with a nice fat ruby.

Do another search and this time add in “Has Sockets” modifier. I also like to add the “Additional Attack Speed %” modifier because the extra attack speed makes the gem stronger.

Did my search and on page 2 I found a steal of a deal at 7.5k with an un gemmed socket and a dps close to the front page as is. I know it was just put up because the time on it is 1d23h left.

Lets do the dps math on the Mentor's Mark.

  • Primary weapon type – Staff.
  • Primary decimal ias – none on the weapon so leave it blank.
  • Primary damage range – 207 to 372.
  • Primary ias bonus – 15.
  • Damage range bonuses – 13 to 26 (Pretending to put a square ruby in it).

Hit the calculate weapon's damage range button and we get 355.3 (rounded) with 1.15 attacks per second. This will not only hit the front page it will be the top item.

Hurry lets get it.

Crap. It sold while I was figuring out the dps. Oh well there is another low-ish priced weapon on the page lets see if it would make it to the front page.

  • Primary weapon type – Crossbow.
  • Primary decimal ias – none on the weapon so leave it blank.
  • Primary damage range – 213 to 318.
  • Primary ias bonus – 13.
  • Damage range bonuses – 13 to 26 (Pretending to put a square ruby in it).

Hit the calculate weapon's damage range button and we get 354.3 (rounded) with 1.24 attacks per second. Looks like its still gonna take the number 2 spot on the page if that Mentor's Mark gets posted.

Now that you found a weapon that you know will make the first page, you need to look at the other stats to see if its something people will want. Remember we were searching for wizard 2h weapons so we want to see stuff that a wizard will use. Next look to see what prices the weapon will land around. Since it will be at the top people will compare it with the 200k and the 250k weapons. Price your weapon to look like a steal compared with these. If I had won that Mentor's Mark I would have had to sell it for at least 8,824 to break even. Since the lowest price on the page was 40k I could have undercut that for 1g and still made 31,175 profit. Since it would land in the top slot it probably could have gone for way more.

Any Level Strategy #4 Bid Flipping
This is for anyone with a few minutes to spare on the auction house who wants to make easy, fast gold.
Sound like someone you know?

Ok, let's get started!

WARNING: Never, EVER post just weapons/armor on the auction house. This will potentially lock up your slots and render you unable to play the ah game for 48 hours. Although this strategy is easy, there are still times where you will end up with gear that really isn't worth anything. Stuff like +X resistance (like fire resist but not resist all as that's valuable) will not be attractive to leveling characters. Always look for items that have a lot of one primary stat (dex, str, int) and supportive stats like vitality, life regen, etc. If you want to, check the value of all the items you win after bidding to see if you can price a little higher than I've suggested here. Ok, warning over, now have fun bidding!

Step 1: Find Deals
I love to search for weapons and armor in the level range 50-55. I just look for each type, including offhands, one at a time in order to make searching easier. So for this example, choose gloves.
Step 2: Add 9999999999 to Max Buyout Price.
Step 3: Sort by buyout in ascending order.
Step 4: Go through each page looking at the right column for how much time is left. If you see anything below 1 hour, check the price of the auction. If the price is under 1000 gold, bid on the item. CAREFUL NOT TO BUYOUT.
Step 5: Set your max bid to 1000 gold.
Step 6: Eventually collect your winnings and sell them for at least 3000+ gold bid/buyout.
Step 7: Every few minutes, check back to see if all of your auctions sold and list the next 10. At such a great deal very few will be able to resist your offer, even if the item has garbage stats!

If you want to get creative, you can search for items with "Has Sockets" to see if there are auctions with very little time left that actually have gems in the gear already. Not only do you get a nice piece of gear for cheap, but you also get the gem! If you want, you can salvage the item and get the gem without paying the jeweler for the service.

Let's also not forget that most items are worth a lot more than 3,000 gold, so once you understand the marketplace, you can actually start winning these bids and pricing them correctly so that they sell for a lot more. Ease into this though, it takes a lot of practice to get it just right!

One final note, if an item doesn't sell with this method, just vendor or salvage it. Odds are you got it for damn near the vendor price, so if it fails in the end you can cut your losses or even make a few pennies.
